Blue Ocean Angels was founded in Melbourne by James Martin and Lawry Miller after their own firsthand experience with offshore virtual assistants. They saw both the transformative potential — and the serious problems — in the existing VA industry.
Novie's skills were game-changing for their early operations. But Jaira's mistreatment by another client highlighted a systemic failure: the industry was prioritising cost over care, for both businesses and the people they employed.
